New feature: Facebook & Twitter comments

Over the weekend, we rolled out the first of several improvements we have in store for for our comments system. Now, anybody can comment on live broadcasts using their Twitter or Facebook identity, even if they don’t have a Mixlr account.

Let’s take a look at how it works.

Comment with Facebook

It’s easy to leave a comment using your Facebook ID. First, just click on Add comment, and then the Facebook button.

Now, sign into Facebook if you’re asked to do so. Once you’re signed in, you’ll be asked to confirm that Mixlr can access your personal details. (We only use your name and Facebook profile picture).

Click Allow, and you’ll be able to make comments on the broadcast you’re listening to straight away. Easy!

Comment with Twitter

It’s much the same process to leave a comment using your Twitter identity. Click Add comment, and sign into Twitter if you’re asked.

Now, confirm that Mixlr is authorised to use your personal information. (Again, we only use your name and profile picture).

Then, you’re able to make a comment using your Twitter identity. You’ll be able to keep on making comments using your Twitter account until you close the browser tab (or until you click the This isn’t me link, which signs you out).

And of course, if you’re signed in with your Mixlr account, you can comment as per usual without any extra fuss.

As we mentioned, this is the first of several improvements we have planned for our comments: stay tuned to our Twitter and Facebook feeds for more news.
