Artblog Interview: Jeanne Van Heeswijk

Artblog contributor A. M. Weaver speaks with dutch artist, Jeanne Van Heeswijk on their project "Philadelphia Assembled." "Philadelphia Assembled" is a project that seeks to visualize the city according to the personal and collective narratives that shape Philadelphia’s urban fabric. Initiated by Dutch artist, Jeanne van Heeswijk, in collaboration with the Philadelphia Museum of art, and change-makers from across the extended field of the city, the project revisits this landscape to assemble the city as a network of resilience. In 2017, these efforts will manifest in a series of installations and events in neighborhoods throughout Philadelphia, culminating in a dynamic presentation at the Museum in the galleries and public spaces of the Perelman Building.
