INCA Abroad #2: The Luminary and Temporary Art Review INCA Press book launch + Roundtable: Alternative spaces and publications in times of social crisis - with panelists João Doria, Anne Szefer Karlsen and Andreas Breivik+Victoria Duffee. Join us for the Oslo launch of “To Make a Public: Temporary Art Review 2011–­16” along with other titles from INCA Press, including “Forms of Education” and “Free as in Free...” published on the occasion of the 11th Gwangju Biennial in collaboration with Publication Studio. The event will feature a short reading followed by a roundtable of publishers and critics considering alternative spaces and artists’ publications in times of social and political crisis moderated by James McAnally and Sarrita Hunn of Temporary Art Review. The roundtable will include designer and publisher with the The Ventriloquist Press, João Doria, co-initiator of The Ventriloquist Summerschool; curator and writer Anne Szefer Karlsen, previous director of Hordaland Kunstsenter (2008-14) where she was series editor for Dublett and current Associate Professor for MA Curatorial Practice at Bergen Academy of Art and Design; and writer Andreas Breivik, editor at Litteratur på Blå, organiser of the study circle It Gets Better and initiator of Vi ser på kunst together with artist and writer Victoria Duffee. For the publication roundtable, Breivik and Duffee will present Vi ser på kunst.
